Motor Archive
I've always been a bit obsessed with cars. Not just the famous ones everyone can name — the Ferraris, the Porsches, the usual suspects — but the weird ones. The forgotten ones. The ones that were genuinely brilliant but somehow never made it into the conversation. Those are the ones that keep me up at night reading Wikipedia rabbit holes at 2am.
For years I've been collecting notes in Obsidian — little write-ups about models I find interesting, things I've learned, bits of history that I thought deserved more attention. It started as something purely for myself, just a way to organise what I know and what I was learning. But at some point I thought: why not just put it out there? Maybe someone else out there is equally fascinated by an obscure Italian coupe from 1971 that sold 47 units.
So that's what this is. Motor Archive is basically my notes, turned into a website. It's a mix of well-known classics and cars most people have never heard of — and honestly, I'm more excited about the latter. If this site manages to get even one person interested in a car they'd never otherwise come across, that's a win in my book.
Fair warning: it's very much a work in progress. I add new entries whenever I have the time and the itch to write something up, which means the archive is always growing but never quite "done". That's kind of the point though. It's a living thing. I try, haha.
If you spot something wrong, want to suggest a car, or just want to talk about cars — feel free to get in touch. Always happy to hear from someone who cares about this stuff as much as I do.
