Motor Archive is an independent automotive publication. This policy explains how information is handled when you browse the site or contact us.

Information you provide

Motor Archive does not offer user accounts or newsletters. If you use the contact form, your name, email address, and message are sent through Formspree and used only to respond to your enquiry.

Comments

Car articles accept comments for moderation before publication. A display name and comment are required. You may also provide an email address, which remains private and is used only while reviewing the submission. If the comment is approved, the email address is permanently removed from the comments database and only the display name, comment, and submission date are published. Rejected or removed comments are permanently deleted.

New-comment alerts, including an email address when one is supplied, are sent to the site administrator through Formspree and are subject to Formspree's data-handling practices. Cloudflare D1 stores the moderation record, and Cloudflare Turnstile checks submissions for automated abuse. The visitor's network and browser details may be processed transiently to enforce rate limits and validate Turnstile, but Motor Archive does not store IP addresses or abuse-prevention hashes in its comments database.

Analytics

Motor Archive uses Google Analytics to understand site usage, such as which pages are visited and general browser, device, and approximate location information. Google Consent Mode is used so that storage and processing by Google tags can respect applicable consent choices.

Advertising

Car article pages may display advertising through Google AdSense. Google and its advertising partners may use cookies or similar technologies to deliver, measure, and personalise advertising where permitted. Advertising is not enabled on the archive indexes, About, Contact, Privacy, or error pages.

Consent and cookies

Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland are shown a Google-certified consent message before optional advertising or analytics storage is enabled. The message lets visitors consent, decline, or manage individual purposes and vendors. A consent choice may itself be stored so it can be remembered on later visits.

You can revisit your privacy and cookie choices using the privacy settings link supplied with the consent message on article pages. You can also remove stored cookies through your browser settings.

Some pages link to external websites with their own privacy practices. Motor Archive is not responsible for how those third parties handle data.
